Ravinder Singh is a dedicated and passionate Maths teacher and leader with a strong background in mainstream schools shaping young minds for nearly two decades. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of positions within different teams, showcasing his versatility and expertise in the field of education. With a commitment to supporting students with Special Educational Needs, he has generously given his time to serve on the advisory board for Lumen Academy.

Having first worked in the industry before transitioning into education, Ravinder brings a unique perspective to his role. His experience in the corporate world has allowed him to bridge the gap between theory and practice, inspiring students to pursue meaningful and impactful careers.

Starting off as a classroom teacher, Ravinder quickly rose through the ranks to become a lead practitioner in Maths. In this role, he not only excelled in teaching Maths to students but also provided guidance and support to his colleagues and Maths leaders, helping them improve their teaching methods and strategies.  In addition to his role as a lead practitioner, Ravinder has also worked closely with the heads of Maths in various schools, providing valuable insights and recommendations to help enhance the Maths curriculum and improve student outcomes. His dedication to continuous improvement and professional development has made him a valuable asset to any team he is a part of.

Ravinder’s commitment to education goes beyond just teaching Maths. He is passionate about educating children with diverse needs and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. He believes in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. His dedication to supporting SEN students is evident in his work both inside and outside the classroom. Ravinder Singh is not only dedicated to the education of his students but also to his own professional development. He understands the importance of continuous learning and growth in the field of education, which is why he is currently enrolled in the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) program.  By participating in the NPQSL program, Ravinder is further honing his leadership skills and expanding his knowledge of school leadership and management. This program will equip him with the tools and strategies needed to take on more senior leadership roles in the future, allowing him to make an even greater impact on the education system.
